The client
Lola's Chicken Cafe is a Peruvian restaurant in Van Nuys, California, whose signature dish is wood-fired rotisserie chicken baked in a traditional wood-burning oven. Their proposition combines authentic Peruvian cooking with the accessibility of a neighborhood café.
The challenge
Diner behavior changed: today people decide what to eat by looking at a website or ordering from their phone. A restaurant with great food but no organized digital presence loses traffic to competitors with updated online menus and easy ordering.
Lola's needed a site that communicated their identity — wood-fired chicken, Peruvian cooking — and let customers order online without friction, integrated with an existing order management system.
The solution
We built a website with online ordering integration that combines brand narrative with direct conversion: full menu across all categories (appetizers, soups, wood-fired chicken, stir-fries, rice dishes, sides, beverages and desserts), native integration with the ChowNow platform for online orders, QR code for quick download from the table, and connected social media presence.
The visual design highlights the star product — "best woodfire rotisserie cooked fresh every day" — and guides visitors toward placing an order or visiting in person.
