The client
Lola's Peruvian Restaurant is a restaurant with 20 years of trajectory specialized in traditional Peruvian cuisine — ceviches, stir-fries, soups and starters that capture the diversity of Peruvian flavors. Behind the restaurant stand a couple of chefs whose signature phrase captures the identity of the place: "tell me where you eat and I'll tell you who you are".
The challenge
A restaurant with two decades of history has brand equity but also the risk of lagging behind on digital presence. The modern diner decides where to eat by looking at the site, reserving from their phone and ordering for pickup — an outdated site renders even the best neighborhood restaurant invisible.
Lola's needed a site that communicated the quality and experience of their cooking with the editorial elegance the local audience associates with authored cuisine restaurants, and that integrated the modern business flows: online menu, reservations and takeout orders.
The solution
We designed a website with strong visual identity and clear conversion flows: hero with monumental typography on a dark background paired with a custom Nazca lines illustration, "About Us" section telling the story of the chef couple, visual menu organized by categories (Appetizers, Ceviches, Soups, Saltado), dish gallery, always-visible Order Online and Reservation buttons, and direct contact.
The visual narrative reclaims Peruvian codes (Nazca lines, kitchen-related phrases in Spanish) without falling into cliché — the Angeleno audience immediately recognizes the proposition with no need for explanation.
